Experienced Excavator/ Skid Steer Operator

Due to growth in our company, BTR Excavations requires an experienced full-time Excavator/Skid Steer operator. Working with detailed location plans, you will ideally have at least 3 years experience in this field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in digging trenches and levelling, digging around live assets, as well as loading and driving trucks. A solid understanding of earthworks and trench excavation is essential, along with a strong commitment to safety and familiarity with various types of plant and equipment.

Position: Monday - Friday with flexibility for Saturday or nightworks (dependent on workload) 

Location: Start/Finish in Waterloo Corner SA

Responsibilities: 

• Excavating around known and located asset 

• Relocation of water meters utilising mini 1.8T Excavator

• Skid Steer operations

• Clearing/levelling blocks 

• Trenching, grading & backfilling

• Sewer Mains

• Conduct routine equipment inspections

• Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately

• Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines

• Maintaining and cleaning the work site

Requirements:

• Excavator ticket 

• Proven experience as a Civil Construction Excavator Operator

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)

• Proven experience digging around live assets

• Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and safety protocols 

• Ability to work overtime, weekends or nights when required

• Able to work as part of a team

• HC License
