About the role

Bakers Family Medical Centre is seeking a talented and friendly Receptionist to join our dynamic team in Toowoomba, Queensland. As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers. This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dedicated and compassionate healthcare team.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

What you'll be doing

1. Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner

2. Handling patient inquiries and appointment scheduling in a timely and efficient manner

3. Managing and organising patient records and documentation

4. Assisting with various administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing

5. Providing general support to the healthcare team as needed

6. Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting would be an advantage

2. Minimum 1-2 years of reception or customer service experience is preferred

3. A special person - one that can fill in on short notice for personal leave and for annual leave

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, visitors, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner

5. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

6. Proficient in using standard office equipment and computer software, including word processing and data entry

7. Essential computer software skills required include Microsoft Office and medical software

8. Experience with Best Practice medical software is preferred

9. A warm and approachable demeanour, with a genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service

10. A team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team

Availability for weekdays only is required for this casual position.

Regularly weekly hours would be 10 hours.
