Fitter / Machinist

MMD Australia is expanding our Narangba workshop team and we’re looking for a skilled Fitter/Machinist who takes pride in precision work and enjoys hands‑on mechanical problem‑solving. If you want a stable role with a respected global engineering company, this is a great opportunity.

 About the Role:

You’ll be working on the manufacture, repair and maintenance of MMD’s world‑leading mineral sizing equipment. The work is varied, technical and suited to someone who enjoys producing and servicing high‑quality components.

 Key Responsibilities Include:

 •     Machining, fitting and assembly of mechanical components

•     Operating manual and CNC machines to produce accurate parts

•     Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings

•     Fault‑finding, repairs and refurbishment work

•     Maintaining a safe, clean and organized workshop environment

About You:

You’re a trade‑qualified mechanical professional with strong machining skills and a commitment to quality with at least 3 years post trade experience.

We’re Looking For:

 •     Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter & Turner or Fitter/Machinist)

•     Solid experience in machining and mechanical fitting

•     CNC and manual machine experience

•     Ability to work from drawings with strong attention to detail

•     A reliable, safety‑focused and self‑motivated approach

•     Experience with heavy industrial, mining or manufacturing equipment (advantageous)
