Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your local community? Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is seeking a motivated and community-focused individual to join our team as a Community Development Officer.
In this role you will:Identify and secure grant funding to support community initiatives and programs.Build strong relationships and collaborate with a diverse range of community groups, including young people, people with disability, families, and older residents.Research, coordinate, and deliver community development projects, programs, and events.Support initiatives that promote community safety and increased wellbeing.
We are looking for someone who: Holds relevant qualifications and/or experience in community services, community development, or community engagement.Has demonstrated experience delivering community-based projects and initiatives.Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across Council and within the broader community.
