We are currently seeking an organized, empathetic, and reliable Medical Receptionist to serve as the face of our practices in Butler and Merriwa locations.

The Role
As our Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in their healthcare journey. You will balance a welcoming front-desk presence with efficient administrative support for our General Practitioners and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a compassionate and professional manner.

• Manage appointment scheduling, phone inquiries, and triage incoming calls.

• Maintain accurate, highly confidential patient records and databases.

• Process patient billings and Medicare, private health fund, and third-party invoices.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence including scanning, faxing, and secure messaging.

• Keep the reception, waiting area, and consulting rooms tidy and presentable.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical reception or healthcare admin role (highly preferred).

• Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

• High level of computer literacy; experience with medical software (Best Practice) is a significant advantage.

• Strong multi-tasking abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.

• Strict commitment to patient privacy and medical confidentiality protocols.

• Flexibility to work across rostered clinic shifts.

• Flexibility to work in either our Butler or Merriwa practice locations
