Disability Support Worker (Casual)

9D Care offers a range of supports and assistance to a variety of local residents, including help at home, social inclusion and community participation. We are looking for people who can provide practical and emotional help to others, calling on their own real-life experiences to build rapport and relationships. Your support will enable our clients to remain living independently and comfortably in their own homes, throughout the Melbourne Region.

About You:
We require our Care Workers to be reliable, committed, and empathetic individuals to provide quality care as a Support Worker

Qualifications required:

• Must have experience in Mental health support
• Must be very familiar with the Kew, Hawthorn, Glenferrie and surrounding areas.
• Must be confident planning journeys from Point A to Point B and using public transport, particularly trams and trains.
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability, or equivalent
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Full VIC Drivers Licence
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills
• Experience as a Disability Support worker, providing Personal care, Community access & domestic assistance.
• All applicants must have a relevant visa or working rights in Australia.
