Due to continued growth, Super Metal Recycling is seeking an experienced Excavator / Materials Handler Operator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the scrap metal industry.

This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for a confident, skilled operator who understands scrap processing, material separation, and working safely in a fast-paced metal recycling yard.

You will play a key role in maintaining efficient yard flow and safe site operations.

• Operate excavators and materials handlers fitted with grabs

• Sort and process scrap metal materials

• Manage stockpile organisation and yard flow

• Conduct daily machine pre-start checks

• Follow all safety procedures and site compliance requirements

• Work closely with yard team to maintain productivity

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the scrap metal industry (essential)

• Proven experience operating excavators/material handlers with grabs

• Strong understanding of scrap grades and material separation

• Relevant machinery tickets / licences

• Strong safety awareness

• Reliable with solid work history

• Ability to work in a busy, high-volume yard environment
