About the OpportunityCharles Elena is urgently recruiting an Appian Developer to join a specialist technology team within a major Australian IT and financial institution. This is a hands-on development role focused on designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade process automation solutions using the Appian low-code platform.

About YouYou are an accomplished Appian Developer with proven experience delivering complex workflow and process automation solutions in large enterprise environments. You are comfortable working across the full development lifecycle, engaging with business and technical stakeholders, and delivering quality outcomes at pace.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain process automation solutions using the Appian platformTranslate business requirements into scalable, high-quality Appian workflows, interfaces, and integrationsBuild and maintain integrations between Appian and enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices and platform standardsProduce and maintain technical documentation including design specifications and support proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, identifying and implementing root-cause fixesCollaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutionsContribute to continuous improvement of development, testing, and deployment processes
Required Experience & SkillsProven hands-on experience developing solutions on the Appian platformAppian certification highly regardedStrong understanding of BPM, workflow automation, and process design principlesExperience integrating Appian with external systems via REST/SOAP APIsFamiliarity with relational databases and SQLExperience working within Agile delivery teamsFinancial services or banking experience highly regardedA self-sufficient and resourceful operator who works efficiently under pressure and delivers without the need for hand-holdingComfortable operating with confidence and composure in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
QualificationsMust be located in Sydney with full working rights. A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
