Key responsibilities:
Be the first point of contact for foster carer enquiries, providing timely, realistic and strengths-based information.
Arrange and conduct assessments of prospective foster carers, including home visits, risk assessments and associated reporting.
Coordinate and assist with foster carer training, information sessions, and promotional events to attract, support and retain carers.
Maintain accurate and timely records in Key Assets systems, contributing to a smooth and compliant recruitment process.
The base salary for this position is $80,006.68 - $85,798.44 per annum (based on 1.0 FTE) + super + mobile + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE), ongoing position.
About you
You’re an organised, people-focused professional who takes pride in helping others and building meaningful connections. You have a background in community services, and experience in out of home care, adult education, or customer engagement, bringing warmth, initiative and a deep commitment to supporting children, young people and families.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Communicate with empathy and professionalism, building trust with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying experience.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing administrative, outreach and assessment tasks with care and attention to detail.
Bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and can adapt quickly as needs change.
Have experience in OOHC, either through lived experience and/or in a professional capacity.
Excel in administration and customer engagement activities, ideally with demonstrated experience in the community services sector.
Value inclusivity and demonstrate cultural awareness, particularly in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and diverse communities.
Hold a relevant qualification in community services or a related field and have a current driver’s license.
