About the role

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Westside Auto Wholesale in Bentley, WA. This full-time role is responsible for performing advanced diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting thorough diagnostic tests to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues

2. Providing expert guidance and advice to a great team of dedicated technicians and apprentices.

3. Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs

4. Staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, tools and repair techniques

What we're looking for

1. Formal qualifications in automotive diagnostics and repair, such as a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology

2. Extensive experience (minimum 3-5 years) as a diagnostic technician, preferably in an large workshop or dealership environment

3. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly identify and resolve complex vehicle issues

4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship

5. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with customers and team members

6. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

7. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest automotive technologies, tools and repair techniques
