Your Opportunity 

Primero Group is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with Major EPC Project experience to join Primero in an exciting growth phase. The role will be responsible for managing all phases of Project Delivery, from Tenders and Estimates, through Study, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning. The successful Project Director will also be responsible for managing client and stakeholder engagement including managing expectations and enhancement of the company’s reputation and standing in the market.

Your Key Responsibilities 

* Manage time and cost related to the project outcomes

* Responsible for accurate and appropriate planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects

* Complete execution of the project from inception to practical completion

* Meet all role-specific HSE responsibilities, accountabilities and KPI’s detailed in the Primero HSW Management System Manual

* Day-to-day management of project budgets, resources and staffing to meet objectives and time frames

* Provide guidance on procurement and subcontracting strategies.

* Managing key stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.

* Implement strong governance and reporting frameworks, ensuring clear performance visibility.

 

What You ‘Can Do’

* Previous experience at Project Director level & successfully leading direct-hire multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.

* Previous experience leading Major EPC, EPCM or Construct Only projects within the mining sector.

* Proven experience within Major Gold/Copper Projects

* Prior experience in Study and FEED Management, as well as proven Execution experience

* A resolute commitment to delivering your project safely.

* Exceptional commercial and negotiation skills.

* High level analytical ability used to solve complex problems.

* Proficient in the use of Project management tools such as MS Project or ideally Primavera P6.

* High level leadership, mentoring and people management skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
