Join our Manufacturing team at the Laverton Rod Mill and play a key role in driving operational performance, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives within one of Australia's leading steel manufacturing environments.

As a Process Engineer, you will lead and support quality and process improvement projects across Rod Mill operations, working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Technical teams, Suppliers, and Leadership. You will identify improvement opportunities, resolve complex process challenges, and contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient production outcomes.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring that the systems, standards, and equipment related to safety, quality and plant performance are under control
• Develop a deep understanding of plant operations by working closely with frontline teams to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to implement process improvements and solve operational challenges.
• Develop, maintain, and improve process control systems, procedures, and operating standards.
• Analyze production and process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
• Conduct root cause investigations for process deviations and establish effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, steel manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively to identify opportunities and improve processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

InfraBuild manufactures steel using recycled scrap through our electric arc furnace network in Victoria and New South Wales.
