About Us

Gidgillys Early Education and Care Centre is a small, close knit 59 place centre located in Jindabyne NSW.  Operated by Snowy Mountains Grammar School, the centre is a licensed long day care centre and preschool offering high quality education and care services to the Jindabyne community. 

Our dedicated and passionate team of Educators aspire to provide engaging and enriching educational experiences for children to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning. 

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma or Certificate III Educator who is willing to provide the best possible care and develop meaningful relationships with the children and our families attending our centre. 

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with our experienced Educators to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children. In this role, you will be expected to observe, document, and analyse children’s learning individually as well as implement a high-quality learning program within our classrooms.   

All aspects of planning and implementation have a shared responsibility for a number of children’s learning, enabling each child to be supported to achieve and thrive in a caring and inclusive environment.

About the role

• Permanent full-time, part-time, or casual employment to suit your circumstances. 

• Be guided and supported by qualified mentors through your new journey in our centre including teachers within Snowy Mountains Grammar School.

• Provide high quality care and support for children aged 0-5 years. 

• Create a friendly, secure, and stimulating interactive learning environment. 

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan, create, and deliver a stimulating and interactive learning environment. 

• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community. 

• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members. 

• Ensure a high level of health and safety standards are maintained at all times. 

About You

• Certificate III/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (ACECQA approved). 

• Current Working with Children Check 

• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework including National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) 

• Nurture authentic connections with our children and families through interaction, curriculum, and documentation. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one. 

• Ability to work flexible shifts on your selected working days
