About the role 

The Senior Treasury Risk & Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Housing Australia’s treasury risk management and funding activities by providing high-quality analysis, reporting, and insights across liquidity, credit, and interest rate risk. Working closely with Treasury, Finance, and Risk teams, the role ensures the integrity of treasury operations, delivers accurate and timely risk reporting, and leverages treasury systems and data to support informed decision-making, strong governance, and effective risk management across the organisation. 

Key responsibilities 

• Monitor and report on treasury risks, including liquidity, credit, and interest rate exposures, providing accurate analysis and actionable insights to support funding and investment decisions. 
• Manage treasury operations and systems, including market data, pricing curves, Treasury Management System administration, and the integrity of treasury data and reporting. 
• Support transaction processing and settlements, ensuring the accurate execution, confirmation, reconciliation, and settlement of treasury, lending, and funding activities. 
• Maintain strong risk, control, and governance practices, monitoring limits, managing collateral and controls, identifying process improvements, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. 
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Finance, Risk, Treasury, banking partners, and service providers, to support effective treasury operations, reporting, and continuous improvement. 

Skills and experience 

• Strong experience in treasury, financial markets, or risk management, including monitoring and reporting on liquidity, credit, and interest rate risk exposures. 
• Sound knowledge of treasury and capital markets products, including fixed income, money market, derivatives, loan drawdowns, payments, valuations, and settlement processes. 
• Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems, market data, pricing curves, reconciliations, and end-to-end transaction processing and settlement activities. 
• Strong analytical and risk management capability, with experience operating first-line controls, interpreting complex data, identifying issues, and delivering accurate, timely reporting and insights. 
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Technology teams, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and strong Excel skills. 
• Experience with Australian fixed income markets, FIS Quantum, treasury system enhancements, and professional qualifications such as CFA or FRM will be highly regarded.
