1300SMILES Gladstone is looking for a Casual Dental Assistant who's keen to learn chairside, support our clinicians and become part of a friendly and experienced team. Whether you're newly qualified or completely new to dental, we're happy to train the right person.

This casual role works across our Monday to Saturday roster, with shifts typically falling between 7:45am and 5:15pm. It's a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible work while building valuable experience in the dental industry.

Job Description

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting dentists and clinicians during procedures and with patient care
• Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and equipment
• Sterilising instruments and following infection control procedures
• Helping patients feel comfortable and cared for
• Keeping the clinical environment clean, organised and ready for patients
• Supporting the wider practice team with administrative tasks when required

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you will bring:

• A warm, approachable manner and a natural ability to put patients at ease
• A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Availability to work across the Monday to Saturday roster
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or previous dental experience, is highly regarded but not essential.
