Pipeline CCTV Operator – Sewer & Drainage

About the Role

ASG Civil & Industrial is seeking an experienced Pipeline CCTV Operator to join our growing team.

This role involves conducting CCTV inspections of sewer and drainage infrastructure, accurately identifying defects and producing clear, professional inspection reports for our clients.

The successful candidate will be confident operating pipeline CCTV equipment, working independently and supporting drain cleaning crews when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct CCTV inspections of sewer and stormwater pipelines.

• Operate crawler cameras, push cameras and associated inspection equipment.

• Assess and accurately code pipeline defects through WinCan.

• Upload CCTV footage, photographs and reports in accordance with client requirements.

• Locate blockages, damaged pipes, displaced joints, root intrusion and other defects.

• Work alongside combination drain cleaning, jetting and vacuum truck crews.

• Assist with cleaning, maintaining and troubleshooting CCTV equipment.

• Complete daily pre-start checks, job records and safety documentation.

• Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients and other site personnel.

• Comply with company procedures, SWMS, environmental requirements and client safety standards.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Previous experience operating pipeline CCTV inspection equipment.

• Experience inspecting sewer and drainage networks.

• Strong knowledge of pipeline defects and condition assessment.

• The ability to produce accurate and detailed CCTV inspection reports.

• Good computer skills and experience using CCTV WinCan reporting software.

• A current Australian driver licence.

• The ability to work safely both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Experience with drain cleaning, high-pressure water jetting, vacuum loading or combination NDD/drain cleaning trucks will be highly regarded.

Current WSA05 accreditation, relevant pipeline inspection qualifications or experience with client-specific coding systems will also be viewed favourably.
