About the role
We provide quality in-home community care and are looking for someone who has:
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
A genuine interest in supporting older people to live safely and well at home;
Strong administration, computer and organisational skills;
A willingness to learn about care management, care planning and service coordination;
A ‘can-do’ attitude.
This position is fast paced and will require a high level of organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a supportive and dynamic team to deliver services in a timely and professional manner.
Prior knowledge of community care or aged care is not essential, as we are happy to train someone with great skills, a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to customer service and client wellbeing.
In this full time position you will have the benefit of a monthly rostered day off and join a strong family owned and operated business with a commitment to quality.
Essential:
Excellent communication/customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Administration/office experience
Ability to manage and prioritise requests
Excellent computer skills
Customer service oriented and have an outgoing, friendly personality
Be able to work autonomously and also follow direction
Be highly organised and efficient
Be able to multi-task and complete daily tasks within the time frame required
Be able to work as part of a team effectively
A genuine interest in working with older people, families and care teams
Willingness to learn and develop skills in care management, care planning and service coordination
Professional, respectful and empathetic approach to clients, families and staff
About the role:
Responding to client and family enquiries and assisting with general care-related requests
Supporting Care Managers with client follow up, care plan documentation and service coordination tasks
Assisting with processing requests for in-home help and changes to services
Maintaining accurate client details, notes and bookings in our customer management program
Liaising with care staff regarding client updates, scheduling changes and service information
Assisting with preparation of client documentation, service agreements and care management records
Supporting the Home Care team with general administration, filing, scanning, document preparation and printing
Participating in training and learning opportunities to build knowledge of community care and care management
Assisting other staff members
Other duties and projects as required
