Cabinet Making Factory Foreman

About the role

As Factory Foreman, you will oversee the daily workflow of the factory and work closely with management to ensure jobs are manufactured correctly and efficiently, and are ready for installation on schedule.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who knows the cabinet-making industry, can keep production moving and takes pride in producing quality work on time.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating the daily factory workload

• Working hands-on alongside the factory team and actively assisting with the manufacture and assembly of cabinetry

• Supervising cabinet makers, apprentices and factory staff

• Allocating jobs and keeping production on schedule

• Reading plans, drawings and job specifications

• Checking cabinetry for quality and accuracy throughout production

• Identifying and resolving manufacturing issues before they cause delays

• Ensuring materials and components are available for upcoming jobs

• Maintaining an organised, clean and productive workshop

• Ensuring machinery and equipment are being used correctly

• Securing and locking the factory at the end of each working day

• Ensuring all company vehicles are securely parked and locked at the end of each working day

About you

• Have solid experience in cabinet making, kitchens or joinery manufacturing

• Have previous experience as a Foreman, Leading Hand or Factory Supervisor, or be an experienced cabinet maker ready to step into a leadership role

• Can confidently read and interpret plans

• Have strong attention to detail and a focus on quality

• Can manage multiple jobs and priorities

• Are organised and able to keep a team productive

• Can communicate clearly with staff and management

• Are reliable, practical and able to solve problems

Work hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
