We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Drill Fitters to join our growing team supporting leading mining and exploration operations across Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of drill rigs while enjoying the benefits of a FIFO or DIDO lifestyle. Potential for full time employment.

About the Role

As a Drill Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repair of surface drilling equipment to ensure maximum reliability and performance across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs on drilling equipment.

• Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.

• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance activities.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.

• Work collaboratively with drill crews, supervisors, and site personnel.

• Minimise equipment downtime through efficient troubleshooting and repairs.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian Trade Qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, or equivalent.

• Previous experience maintaining surface drill rigs.

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

• Experience with surface exploration and/or grade control drill rigs and equipment highly regarded. 

• Basic electrical experience 

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
