PROCESS LINE TEAM LEADER (FOOD MANUFACTURING)

Full-Time Permanent | 38 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday

About the role

The Process Line Team Leader is responsible for overseeing day-to-day processing activities on the production line to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that works on the line while providing direction, guidance and support to Process Workers and Machine Operators. The role plays a key part in achieving production targets, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and promoting a positive and safety-focused team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and guide Process Workers and Machine Operators on the production line.

• Allocate tasks and provide clear direction during daily operations.

• Lead by example by working hands-on on the line alongside the team.

• Support training, onboarding and coaching of new or less experienced team members.

• Promote teamwork, accountability and positive workplace behaviours.

• Oversee and participate in machine operation to ensure lines are set up and running efficiently.

• Support line start-ups, changeovers, shut-downs and cleaning procedures.

• Monitor line performance, output and workflow to meet daily production targets.

• Identify and troubleshoot basic machinery or process issues and escalate complex faults as required.

• Perform and oversee quality checks including weights, temperatures and product specifications.

About you

• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or production environments (essential).

• Demonstrated leadership, leading-hand or team coordination experience (essential).

• Strong understanding of production processes and machine operation (essential).

• Experience performing quality checks and monitoring standards (essential).

• Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements (essential).

• Ability to lead and support a small production team.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Competence in machine operation, basic troubleshooting and line coordination.

• Ability to complete production and quality documentation accurately.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cold production environment.
