Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high-quality, engaging and brand-aligned visual communications that support the organisation’s mission, profile and fundraising objectives. Working across the organisation, and closely with the Philanthropy and Communications team, this role brings campaigns, appeals, events, donor communications, internal materials and digital content to life through thoughtful, accessible and compelling design.

The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Philanthropy and Communications team and will collaborate with staff across the organisation to understand design needs, clarify briefs, develop creative solutions and deliver materials that support strategic priorities. The role may also liaise with external suppliers, printers, photographers, videographers and agencies as required.

• Relevant qualifications in graphic design, visual communication or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence, good driving record and willingness to use own vehicle in line with EPC Process Map 1761 – Motor Vehicle Use Of.

• Demonstrated experience designing for both print and digital channels, ideally within a not-for-profit, health, community, fundraising or purpose-led environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with Canva, video editing or basic animation would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of brand application, layout, typography, visual storytelling and accessibility principles.
• Ability to manage multiple design requests, competing deadlines and changing priorities while maintaining high-quality output.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret briefs, ask clear questions and work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate, polished artwork for print and digital delivery.
• A genuine interest in using design to support community impact, fundraising outcomes and meaningful engagement with clients, families, donors, volunteers and supporters.

1. Design and produce a broad range of print and digital materials for teams across the organisation, ensuring consistency, quality and accessibility.
2. Support the development and maintenance of organisational templates, including flyers, reports, presentations, signage, forms and staff communications.
3. Provide practical design advice to staff to ensure materials are visually clear, audience-appropriate and aligned with brand standards.
4. Maintain an organised library of approved design assets, templates, logos, images and collateral.

1. Create compelling visual assets for fundraising appeals, donor stewardship, regular giving, bequests, grants, community fundraising, corporate partnerships and major donor activity.
2. Design campaign materials across multiple channels, including direct mail, email, social media, website content, event collateral, advertisements, presentations and reports.
3. Support the visual development of fundraising events and community engagement activities, including invitations, signage, merchandise, programs and promotional collateral.
4. Translate impact stories, data and organisational messages into engaging visual content that helps donors, supporters and community members understand the difference their support makes.
5. Work with the Philanthropy and Communications team to develop creative concepts that strengthen engagement, awareness, donor retention and fundraising growth.

2. Prepare artwork for print and digital publication, including liaising with external printers, suppliers and agencies where required.
3. Apply strong attention to detail across layout, typography, colour, image selection, accessibility and proofreading checks.
4. Keep up to date with design trends, digital formats and best-practice approaches that can improve the organisation’s communications and supporter experience.
