Medical Receptionist

About the role

Doctors of Coburg North is seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. We are a busy, fully accredited bulk-billing general practice committed to delivering high-quality healthcare and exceptional patient service to our local community. Our clinic operates 7 days per week from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Regular Shifts:

• Wednesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm

• Thursday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

• Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm

Key responsibilities

• Managing patient appointments and enquiries

• Greeting patients and coordinating front desk operations

• Triaging and managing the waiting room

• Processing Medicare and patient billings

• Liaising with doctors, nurses, and allied health staff

• Opening and closing the practice as required

• Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative duties

About you

• Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist in a General Practice clinic

• Experience using Best Practice Software

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

• Professional presentation and attention to detail

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to provide additional cover shifts when required
