Truck Body Builder or Contractor

We are seeking experienced Truck Body Builders, Welders to join our growing team.

Opportunities are available for both permanent employees and subcontractors/contractors. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and installation of truck bodies and associated equipment to a high standard of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble truck bodies including pantechs, trays, tippers, service bodies, and custom builds

• Install bodies and components onto truck chassis in accordance with specifications

• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting

• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished work meets required standards

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment

About You

• Trade qualification in fabrication, boilermaking, or similar (preferred)

• Proven experience in truck body building or heavy vehicle fabrication

• Strong welding and fabrication skills

• Ability to work with steel, aluminium, and other materials

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and workmanship

• Current ABN

• Appropriate insurances

• Relevant licences and tickets

• Hourly rate subject to negotiations
