Laboratory Technician

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our Operations team. Reporting into the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for collection and testing of samples, documentation and data entry including the use of SAP, LIMS and log sheets. 

Please note, a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen will be required as part of the recruitment process

Hours:

To be suitable for this position, you will be available to work Monday to Friday, with weekend work required as part of a roster.

Pay:

• Rates from $35 per hour.

What’s the Scoop?

• Collection & testing of samples
• Factory environmental monitoring activities
• Initiating appropriate corrective action
• Documentation & data entry, including the use of SAP, LIMS and log sheets
• Promoting Safety, Quality and Process within the business, including having a strict adherence to all OH&S and Food Safety guidelines.
• Correctly following Laboratory & Quality department procedures & instructions.

What You’ll Bring:

• Qualification in Laboratory, Science (Food Science/Technology) or equivalent,
• A sound knowledge of good Laboratory Practices
• Strong awareness of the principals & practices of Food Safety and OH&S.
• The ability to operate a range of Laboratory equipment
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively relate and communicate to people at all levels of the business
