Perf's Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to join our growing team, servicing a range of fabrication projects and mine sites throughout the Hunter Valley.

We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, takes pride in their work and is keen to develop their skills within the fabrication industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous workshop, fabrication, construction or mine-site experience who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a team.

About the Role

Working on a Monday to Friday roster, you will provide support to our boilermakers and welders across a variety of heavy and light fabrication, maintenance, repair and installation projects.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting boilermakers and welders with fabrication and maintenance work

• Preparing materials for fabrication

• Cutting, grinding, drilling and cleaning materials

• Using hand and power tools

• Moving and handling materials and equipment

• Assisting with the setup and pack-up of work areas

• General workshop duties and housekeeping

• Assisting tradespeople with day-to-day tasks

• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised work environment

• Following all workplace and mine-site safety requirements

• Previous workshop, construction, fabrication or mine-site experience is advantageous

Highly Advantageous but not essential

• Working at Heights

• Confined Space

• HRWL (High Risk Work Licence)

• MDG25

• Previous mine-site experience

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Basic fabrication or welding experience
