About the Role

As a Communications and Marketing Business Partner, you will play a key role in shaping how Council engages with and informs our community.

Reporting to the Team Leader – Strategic Communications and Marketing the core responsibilities include:

• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to provide trusted communications and marketing advice and support organisational priorities.
• Develop and deliver integrated communication and marketing campaigns that engage the community and promote Council's services, projects and achievements.
• Coordinate communication activities across digital and traditional channels, including social media, media relations, advertising, publications and stakeholder communications.
• Create compelling content and identify opportunities to tell Council's stories and celebrate positive community outcomes.
• Evaluate and report on campaign effectiveness and use insights to continuously improve communication and marketing outcomes.

About You

You are a strategic and proactive communications professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to deliver impactful communication and marketing outcomes. You bring:

• Education & Experience – Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, media, public relations or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience delivering communications activities in a complex organisational environment.
• Written & Oral Communication – Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms.
• Media and Communications Experience – Experience supporting media engagement, communications planning and content development across multiple channels including digital and social media.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and work collaboratively to deliver communications outcomes.
