The Role

Based from our Smithfield depot, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Operating Prime Movers, Semi-Trailers and B-Double combinations

• Conducting daily pre-start inspections and vehicle safety checks

• Complying with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and load restraint requirements

• Completing delivery paperwork and electronic documentation accurately

• Loading and unloading freight where required

• Maintaining a professional attitude with customers and colleagues

• Working safely while protecting people, equipment and freight

• Representing FBT Transwest with professionalism at all times

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Current MC (Multi Combination) Licence

• Previous experience operating MC combinations, B-Doubles and heavy vehicles

• Strong knowledge of transport safety requirements, including HVNL, fatigue management and load restraint

• A commitment to workplace safety and compliance

• A professional attitude and strong work ethic

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A reliable and punctual approach with pride in your work

Desirable

• Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence

• MSIC Card

• Forklift Licence

• BFM accreditation (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience within transport and logistics operations
