About the role
The Design, Technology & Engineering teacher plays a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the Middle and Senior School. Through thoughtful planning, inclusive practice, and positive relationships, the teacher supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. This position requires a commitment to excellence in education, professional engagement, and the Christian values of Woodcroft College.

What you'll be doing
Inspire and engage students through innovative, hands-on learning across Design, Technologies and Engineering.
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated learning experiences for Middle and Senior School students, from Years 7–12.
Bring learning to life through real-world applications, creativity, inquiry and problem-solving.
Teach across areas including Robotics, Manufacturing (wood) and Computer Design, using contemporary technologies to enhance student learning.
Foster a classroom environment where students are encouraged to think critically, take ownership of their learning and turn ideas into reality.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop engaging curriculum, assessment and learning experiences.
Support the diverse needs of students, creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
Contribute to the broader life of the College through co-curricular opportunities, professional learning and community activities.
What we're looking for
A passionate and innovative teacher who is excited by the opportunity to inspire students through Design, Technology and Engineering.
Experience teaching Design, Technologies and/or Engineering subjects across Years 7–12.
Strong knowledge of contemporary curriculum and evidence-informed teaching practices.
A creative, collaborative approach and the ability to design learning that is practical, purposeful and engaging.
Experience supporting diverse learners and adapting teaching to meet individual student needs.
A willingness to embrace opportunities such as VEX Robotics, F1 in Schools and other technology-focused programs — experience is advantageous, but enthusiasm to get involved is equally valued.
A positive, relationship-focused approach and the ability to connect with and inspire students, families and colleagues.
A commitment to the Christian ethos and values of Woodcroft College.
Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
