About Owston Hotel

Owston Hotel is a new boutique eleven-room hotel opening in Fremantle’s West End, inspired by the warmth of a local Locanda. Our focus is on genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and creating a place that feels special for both locals and visitors.

The Role

We are looking for a guest service supervisor to help bring Owston Hotel to life. You will be involved from the start, helping to set up systems, define service standards, and work closely with the broader team to prepare for opening.

Once open, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the front desk, leading a small team to deliver seamless operations across housekeeping and guest services. You will be hands-on, calm under pressure, and focused on creating thoughtful, personal experiences for every guest.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest, from arrival to departure

• Lead by example in delivering warm, attentive, and genuine service

• Support the setup of operating procedures and service standards before opening

• Oversee daily room operations, including housekeeping, maintenance coordination, and guest service

• Train and support a small front-of-house team

• Maintain high standards of presentation across guest rooms and shared spaces

• Manage room inventory, bookings, and guest communications with attention and empathy

• Work closely with our wider hospitality venues to offer connected, seamless experiences

• Listen to feedback and continuously refine how we do things to make each stay feel personal

About You

• You have supervisory or management experience in hospitality (hotel, accommodation)

• You are organised, proactive, and comfortable working both strategically and on the floor

• You have strong administrative and communication skills

• You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in presentation

• You naturally go out of your way to make people feel cared for

• You think creatively to solve problems and improve the guest experience

• You understand what genuine, thoughtful service feels like

• You bring local knowledge and an understanding of Fremantle’s character and community
