We are looking for a qualified and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our small yet dedicated team for immediate start. This position is initially casual with the possibility of fulltime for the right candidate. Our Capalaba workshop hours are Monday to Friday, but the successful candidate will also have the option to work overtime each week including some Saturday’s where required. There is a potential for site work where required.

About You:

• It is essential that you can complete a 6G GTAW carbon steel weld qualification.

• Pipe fabrication experience.

• Willing to undertake occasional site projects ranging from 2-14 days (increased rate with meals and accommodation supplied).

• You will be reliable and dedicated with a can-do attitude. 

• Be willing to work up to 10-hour days when necessary (with occasional Saturdays as required by workflow).

• You will have the ability to work in a small team with minimal supervision. 

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (isometrics).

• Mechanical fitting and pressure testing experience (not essential but must be willing to learn).

• Your attention to detail will ensure all jobs are done once and done right. 

• You will be safety conscious at all times and always willing to do the right thing.

• Driver’s license.

• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.

• A forklift ticket (not essential but desirable).
