Casual Chef de Partie

The Motley Hotel is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to take ownership of our evening kitchen operations.

This is an opportunity to become a key part of a close-knit team where quality, consistency and genuine hospitality matter. We're looking for someone who enjoys running service, takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to a kitchen that's continuing to evolve.

Working alongside our Senior Sous Chef, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering dinner service while helping strengthen the overall operation as we continue to grow.

What you'll be doing

• Taking ownership of dinner service from preparation through to close.
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency and presentation.
• Supporting menu execution and maintaining high food quality standards.
• Managing your section efficiently during busy service periods.
• Working closely with the Senior Sous Chef to continually improve kitchen operations.
• Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and HACCP standards.
• Assisting with stock rotation, preparation and kitchen organisation.
• Contributing to a positive, collaborative and professional kitchen culture.

About you

You'll be someone who enjoys taking responsibility and thrives in a fast-paced service environment. You're organised, calm under pressure and genuinely care about producing great food every service.

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an very experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
• You must have exceptional communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute ideas.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
