Purchasing Officer

The Opportunity

At Downer Energy & Utilities, we deliver essential services that power and connect communities across Australia. We are seeking a detail focused Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team and provide transactional and systems support across a major contract.

Working closely with Buyers, Project Teams and Accounts Payable, you will play a critical role in supporting compliant and efficient procurement operations while ensuring purchasing activities are accurately processed and maintained within JD Edwards and InEight.

What We're Looking ForPrevious experience in purchasing, administration, procurement or finance.Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, oil and gas or similar industries will be highly regarded.Understanding of procure to pay and source to contract processes.Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.Exposure to JD Edwards, InEight or similar procurement systems will be advantageous.A proactive and solutions focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Business or a related discipline are desirable but not essential.
