This role is responsible for managing the used car inventory, setting pricing strategies, and ensuring vehicles are presented to meet customer expectations and dealership standards. The Used Car Sales Manager leads and coaches the sales team, sets daily and monthly targets, monitors performance, and supports sales consultants in closing deals and maintaining strong customer relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing sales processes, reviewing customer feedback, coordinating with service and finance teams, and ensuring compliance with dealership policies and relevant regulations. The position also involves developing local marketing initiatives, analyzing sales data, and driving continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and profitability.Qualifications Strong background in Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales and Sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.Experience managing structured Sales Processes and workflows within an automotive or retail sales environment.Demonstrated commitment to Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.Leadership skills including team management, coaching, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse customer groups.Solid business acumen, including basic financial literacy, margin management, and familiarity with dealership systems and CRM tools.Ability to work on-site in Melbourne, VIC with flexibility to cover peak trading hours, including weekends as required.Prior experience in automotive sales management or a similar role is highly beneficial; relevant certifications or training in sales or management are an advantage.
