Electricians – Olympic Dam

Our client is seeking multiple qualified Electricians to join their team at Olympic Dam. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of projects, carrying out the installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of electrical systems and equipment both above ground and underground.

With major projects scheduled to commence over the next few years, this is an excellent opportunity for electricians looking to establish or further their career in the mining industry.

About the Role

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Work across a range of surface and underground projects at Olympic Dam.
• Perform fault-finding, testing and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and site requirements.
• Work as part of a professional team across major mining projects.

• 13:8 Roster.

• DIDO or Locally living at Roxby Downs.

• Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, BCA, Local Ordinances and other relevant codes and standards.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and drawings.

• Installation and maintenance of underground electrical systems.

• Fault finding and troubleshooting across plant and equipment.

• Ensuring compliance with site safety standards and procedures.

• Working collaboratively with site teams to meet operational targets.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent.

• Valid SA PGE Licence.

• Underground mine site experience (preferred).

• BHP Olympic Dam site experience (highly regarded).

• Valid driver’s licence.

• Construction industry white card.

• Working at Heights & Confined Space (highly regarded).
