Oral Health Therapist

About the role

Toowong Orthodontics is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Oral Health Therapist to join the team to cover maternity leave for a period of 7-8 months. This is an opportunity for someone passionate about orthodontic care and wanting to work in a practice that values clinical excellence, teamwork and patient experience.

Days & Hours

Monday: 8am - 4pm, Tuesday 10am - 6pm, Wednesday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 5pm

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality orthodontic treatment under the direction of the orthodontist, including appliance adjustments, debands and aligner reviews

• Deliver preventative oral health education and hygiene advice tailored to orthodontic patients

• Monitor patient progress throughout their treatment journey and communicate updates clearly to patients and families

• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records

• Work collaboratively with orthodontists, dental assistants and reception staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

• Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety

About you

• Current registration with AHPRA as an Oral Health Therapist

• Valid professional Indemnity Insurance

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for patient care

• A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence

• A positive, professional attitude and reliable work ethic
