Liquid Waste Operator

About the role

This hands-on role involves operating vacuum tanker trucks to service septic tanks, grease arrestors, wastewater systems and portable toilets while delivering a high standard of customer service. You will be servicing residential, commercial, and industrial clients throughout the Perth metropolitan and Peel regions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate vacuum tanker trucks to collect and transport liquid waste.

• Service septic tanks, grease arrestors, wastewater systems and portable toilets.

• Load and unload bulk liquid waste using vacuum equipment.

• Operate vacuum hoses and associated equipment safely and efficiently.

• Remove septic tank lids and carry out manual labour as required.

• Provide professional and courteous customer service at every site.

• Complete daily vehicle pre-start inspections and basic maintenance checks.

• Operate company vehicles and equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles and equipment.

About you

• HR Driver's Licence (essential).

• Physically fit and capable of manual labour.

• Reliable, punctual and safety focused.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Controlled Waste Driver's Licence is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).

• Previous experience in liquid waste, vacuum truck operation or a similar industry is advantageous but not essential.
