AMPR is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join our Melbourne team on a six-month fixed-term contract.
This is an opportunity for an experienced PR professional to step into a busy, established portfolio of leading lifestyle and consumer brands, work alongside a highly experienced team and make an immediate impact.

The opportunity
Reporting to a senior lead, you’ll join one of our established client teams and take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and delivery of a portfolio of consumer accounts.
As a six-month contract role, we’re looking for someone who is confident stepping into established relationships, quickly getting across client priorities and bringing experience, energy and sound judgement from day one.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders as well as Communications Executives and Coordinators, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
What you’ll do
You’ll be responsible for:Leading the day-to-day management of key client accounts and becoming a trusted extension of their teamsDeveloping and delivering strategic communications programs that generate strong earned outcomesBuilding and maintaining excellent relationships with media, talent, creators and industry stakeholdersIdentifying proactive news, storytelling and cultural opportunities for clientsDeveloping creative campaign ideas and contributing to integrated agency thinkingWriting and overseeing high-quality media materials, pitches, proposals and client communicationsManaging projects, timelines, budgets and deliverables with confidenceProviding direction, feedback and support to junior team membersWorking collaboratively across AMPR to deliver the best possible outcome for every clientBringing commercial awareness and identifying opportunities to strengthen and grow client relationships
About you
You’ll ideally bring:4+ years’ experience in PR and communications, with agency experience highly regardedStrong experience working with consumer and lifestyle brandsA proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneouslyExcellent media relationships and a strong understanding of the Australian media landscapeConfident client management and presentation skillsExcellent writing, pitching and storytelling abilityStrong organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to remain calm, solutions-focused and positive when things move quicklyExperience guiding and developing junior team membersA genuine interest in culture, brands, media and what’s happening next
