We’re looking for a driven Compliance Governance Lead to join our Risk & Governance team at an exciting time in our organisational journey.
As we work towards our 2028 strategy, this role plays a key part in strengthening our governance frameworks and supporting the business to meet its regulatory obligations.
Operating within the second line of accountability, you will support the Head of Compliance & Customer Resolution to enhance and maintain Adica's compliance management framework, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and aligned to the size, complexity and nature of the business. You will act as a trusted advisor, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to provide oversight, guidance and practical compliance solutions.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and maturing Adica's compliance framework as we progress our strategic growth agenda. You'll work closely with senior leaders across the business and have the opportunity to influence governance outcomes, strengthen compliance capability and embed best-practice risk management approaches.
This is a hybrid role based at our St Kilda Road office in Melbourne.
What You'll Be Responsible ForSupporting and enhancing Adica’s compliance management framework and promoting a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
Leading, coaching and developing Compliance Consultants, providing technical guidance, support and oversight to build team capability and performance.
Assisting Adica to meet its compliance obligations under relevant laws and the requirements of regulatory authorities.
Developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and reporting frameworks.
Leading and coordinating incident and breach management activities, including regulatory reporting, remediation and stakeholder support.
Providing strategic compliance advice and oversight in relation to regulatory obligations, breach assessments and operational decision making.
Designing and conducting compliance reviews and assessments to support effective compliance risk management.
Developing, enhancing and overseeing Adica’s compliance monitoring program to ensure effective identification and management of compliance risks.
Delivering clear, insightful reports and supporting Board and executive reporting cycles.
Working closely with business leaders across Claims, Customer Service, Finance, Technology and Project teams to support compliance outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partnering with external stakeholders, including regulators such as ASIC, APRA, CGC and OAIC, as required.
What You'll Bring
You're a compliance professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills. You enjoy working collaboratively across the business, providing practical advice, influencing outcomes, and helping others build capability. You'll be comfortable navigating complex regulatory environments, exercising sound judgement, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced organisation.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law.
3 to 7 years' experience in risk and compliance within financial services, with insurance experience highly regarded.
Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory landscape and compliance obligations.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, policies and documentation.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, assess complex issues and provide practical, risk-based solutions.
Proven critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
Experience coaching, mentoring or leading others and contributing to team development.
Confidence working with data and systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
