• Intermediate Accountant: $90,000–$110,000 plus super

• Accountant: $110,000–$120,000 plus super

QIX Recruitment is partnering with established and growing accounting firms across Melbourne’s CBD and Eastern suburbs. We are seeking talented Intermediate and Senior Accountants ready to join supportive, high-performing public practice teams.

These opportunities offer exposure to diverse client portfolios, ongoing professional development and genuine career progression. You will work closely with experienced managers and partners while developing your technical and advisory capabilities.

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships

• Preparing BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance documents

• Managing a portfolio of business services and taxation clients

• Assisting clients with tax planning and business advisory matters

• Conducting tax research and staying informed about legislative changes

• Maintaining accurate and organised client records

• Liaising with the ATO and responding to queries and notices

• Identifying taxation and accounting issues and recommending practical solutions

• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members

• Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

To be considered, you will have:

• Previous Australian public practice accounting experience—essential

• Relevant experience at either Intermediate or Senior Accountant level

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline

• CA or CPA qualifications, or progress towards completion, highly regarded

• Sound knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Confidence using accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Intermediate Accountant packages of $90,000–$110,000, inclusive of super

• Senior Accountant packages of $110,000–$120,000, inclusive of super
