About VACCHO
VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.
We have 35 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. We are a centre of expertise, policy advice, training, innovation and leadership in Aboriginal health and wellbeing. And we'd love you to join us!
About the role
We are looking for Trainer and Assessors who are passionate about passing their knowledge along to students. If you are experienced in any of the following courses, this might be the right role for you! Courses include:
- Cert III and IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care,
- Diploma of Community Services,
- Cert IV and Diploma of Leadership & Management, and
- Cert III in Business (Medical Administration).
Your role is to empower students to complete their studies for their vocational enhancements, and Community in a self-determining way, through educational planning, delivery and assessment. You will do this by applying your knowledge of your course content and your understanding of cultural sensitivities while working with a diverse group of people with differing capabilities.
Essential skills/experiences
To be successful in this role, you will be a competent and confident Trainer and Assessor who can provide culturally safe training and can to travel to regional locations.
