Our rotational program is designed to help you launch your career in Technology while gaining exposure to some of the most exciting challenges facing banking today.

You’ll be part of a dynamic Technology community that celebrates curiosity, creativity and customer obsession, with support from leaders, mentors, Program Managers and technical experts who are invested in your growth. Across the program, you’ll work on real projects, build practical technical skills and help solve complex challenges at scale.

Do work that matters

As part of Australia's largest bank, you'll help build, secure and enhance the technology that millions of customers rely on every day. Whether you're developing digital products, protecting critical systems, or creating AI powered solutions, you'll work on real projects with real impact from day one. Depending on your program stream, you will complete 2-3 rotations over the course of 12-18 months. You will participate in structured onboarding, technical bootcamps, and hackathons. There will be opportunity to gain certifications and have access to industry-leading learning opportunities. You may even decide to apply to be part of our Graduate-run Technology Committee.

Choose your Technology stream

Engineering (Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide) 

Engineering is for candidates who want to design, build and improve the technology behind great customer experiences.

You’ll help create and enhance digital products, platforms and services used by millions of Australians. You may gain exposure to pathways across Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering and Security Engineering.

When you apply to the Engineering pathway, your 12-month program includes two rotations aimed at developing your engineering skills and broadening your experience. You’ll work closely with Engineering Managers, Distinguished Engineers and Chief Engineers who will inspire and guide you. Our program also encourages you to build strong bonds and support networks with graduates, alumni and leaders across technology to help you achieve your goals. This stream is ideal if you enjoy coding, solving technical problems, learning new tools and frameworks, and building technology that works at scale.

Data Science & AI (Sydney only)

We’re the frontline in the AI revolution. You’ll lead the way and support in driving innovative, data-led solutions and design personalised experiences for our customers using the power of AI.

Our Data Science & AI program offers two to three rotations, plus an 8-week structured onboarding program that combines a foundational bootcamp, workshops and a modelling project to help set you up for a successful start.

You’ll use data to build and enhance quantitative and predictive models, large language models and chatbots and gain exposure in Decision Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gen AI & machine learning (ML), Data Engineering, and more via structured rotations.

You’ll enhance your technical capability using analytical tools such as Python, AWS and Teradata, alongside vast datasets to develop and deliver actionable insights that shape the future of the business.

After the program you will take a role as an Associate Data Scientist.

• Achieving a minimum 65 WAM/GPA if you’re applying for Data Science & AI and 70 WAM/GPA for Engineering
