Full-Time Cafe Manager – Multiple Sites

The Grumpy Baker is a well-established cafe and bakery, proudly serving our community for over 20 years with multiple locations across Sydney. We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Cafe Manager to lead our team at a number of our locations across Sydney.

We’re seeking someone passionate about hospitality and leadership to take it to the next level.

What We’re Looking For:

• A natural leader with strong hospitality and barista experience (both are essential!)

• A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work autonomously

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings energy to the team

• A team player who is also confident making decisions and leading from the front

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Leading and mentoring a passionate team

• Managing stock, ordering, and minimising wastage

• Overseeing quality control and food presentation

• Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met

• Creating and managing staff rosters

• Maintaining smooth communication between front-of-house and kitchen

• Providing outstanding customer service

• Making top-quality coffee and working the register

• Setting up attractive product displays

• Keeping service areas clean, tidy, and welcoming
