Northern Christian School is a co-educational, independent Kindergarten – Year 6 Christian school located in Bridgewater, with a current enrolment of 170 students. Northern is part of Christian Schools Tasmania.

Christian Schools Tasmania is an Association of Christians that owns and operates four Christian Schools in the Greater Hobart Area – Calvin Christian School, Channel Christian School, Emmanuel Christian School and Northern Christian School.  Each school has a Principal who is responsible for the educational leadership and management of the school.

About this position

Learning Support Aide, part-time position for 15 - 26 hours each week, spread across 2 - 5 days in school term time (39 weeks p.a.) at Northern Christian School.

About you

Christian Schools Tasmania is seeking a Learning Support Aide who:

• Is a committed and practising Christian able to uphold the Association’s Statement of Faith and philosophy, and will participate in all aspects of the Association.

• Have the knowledge, proven ability and vision necessary to meet the Key Objectives, Responsibilities and Duties of the position as outlined in the Position Description.

• Demonstrate and develop the suite of organisational abilities that are required to undertake the rewarding role of supporting students and teachers in a Christian school;

• Demonstrate highest standards of presentation, punctuality and professionalism.

Essential Qualifications

• Working with Vulnerable People card (or ability to obtain).

Preferred Requirements

• An ACECQA-approved Certificate III level education / care qualification. For example, Certificate III in School Based Education Support (CHC30221) or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121).

• Experience or qualifications in supporting students with learning needs will be highly regarded.

• Provide First Aid.
