Mechanical Tradesperson - Fitter

Join our Mechanical Maintenance team, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability across fixed and rotating equipment.

You will:

• Diagnose faults and perform breakdown and preventative maintenance

• Maintain and repair conveyors, fans, blowers and agitators

• Contribute to plant improvements and equipment modifications

• Interpret technical drawings and record work in CMMS (JDE)

• Support continuous improvement (TPM, 5S) and team safety initiatives

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III Engineering)

• Experience in heavy industry or mineral processing

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability

• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Safety-focused with a proactive, team-oriented mindset

Desirable:

• Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging, Gantry Crane

• Welding and basic fabrication skills

• CMMS experience (JDE, SAP, Oracle)

• Alignment and tracking experience

• Strong hydraulic fault-finding and repair skills

• Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings

• Work in a technically advanced, high-performing operation
