Legal Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal assistant to join our Gold Coast office on a permanent basis as an Assistant in our Insurance team.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Document and file management;
• Monthly billing, invoice processing & expense reconciliation;
• Coordinating medico legal appointments, requests for information and statutory clearances in connection with compensation claims;
• Supporting the lawyers in the team with file openings, conflict searching, drafting documents, quality assurance, debtor management, and business development; and
• Proactive diary and email management.

We highly regard applications from candidates who possess the following:

• Solid experience in a Legal Assistant role.
• Advanced Microsoft Word skills;
• A solid understanding of software applications including NetDocs and/or similar legal practice and document management systems;
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail;
• Strong organisation ability;
• Ability to build solid relationships with the team and clients;
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment.
• Experience in working in an insurance or personal injury team is desirable but not essential.
