Occupational Therapist

About the role

Barefoot Therapists' is seeking a unique and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary paediatric team on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop customised treatment plans

• Implementing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address physical, cognitive, and psychosocial challenges

• Collaborating with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care

• Providing education and training to clients and caregivers on strategies to promote independence and wellbeing

• Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with professional standards

• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services

• Option to train and work in green spaces, farm activities and animal assisted therapy programs.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Proficient in clinical documentation and report writing

• Whether your passion has been working with adults, children, physical, neurodevelopmental, intellectual disabilities, specific learning difficulties or mental health and psychiatry, we will have clients to meet your experience as well as challenge your growth edge.
