And we are currently offering the rare opportunity for a Vehicle Procurement Specialist / Buyer Pre-owned to join the team.

About the role

As the Vehicle Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, purchasing, and managing your acquisition process of quality used vehicles from a variety of sources. You will also assist with group valuations when needed. Working closely with the Used Vehicle General Manager, you will supply the correct inventory for all preowned retail sites, targeting private sellers, dealer networks, and online buying platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase quality used vehicles at competitive prices

• Appraise trade-in vehicles accurately

• Build strong relationships with private sellers and industry contacts

• Negotiate purchases professionally and confidently

• Ensure potential purchases meet quality standards

About you

• Excellent communication and negotiating skills

• Excellent knowledge in motor vehicles

• Excellent analyzing and IT skills

• Proactive can-do attitude with the ability to work independently

• Very high attention to detail

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Current Victorian Driver's Licence
