Registered Nurse

We’re looking for a part time Registered Nurse who genuinely enjoys making a difference in primary care to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll use your clinical expertise to provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care while working closely with our doctors, nurses and broader general practice team.

Your role will include:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care within your RN scope of practice

• Applying primary healthcare principles to everyday practice

• Delivering health promotion, preventative care and patient education

• Supporting chronic disease management, health assessments and preventative health initiatives

• Providing immunisations and assisting with clinical procedures

• Using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, confidence and positive patient experiences

• Working collaboratively and providing collegial support to the nursing and broader practice team

• Providing care that is respectful, inclusive and culturally safe

• Managing our electronic client reminder and recall system using Best Practice and AutoMed

You will need:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

• Experience in, and a genuine interest in, primary care

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients from all backgrounds and demographics

• A valid and clean National Police Clearance Certificate

• At least one COVID-19 vaccination

It would be great if you also have:

• Completed an immunisation course

• Experience in women's health, or a willingness to learn

• Experience using medical software such as Best Practice and AutoMed

• Experience or demonstrated skills in:

  • ECGs

  • Preventative health education

  • Chronic disease management

  • Health assessments

  • Immunisations

  • Procedure assistance
