About this role:

Sirius College is seeking an experienced and proactive Community Engagement Manager to lead the College's community engagement function across all campuses. This role plays a key part in strengthening relationships with families, alumni, students, staff, and the wider community while promoting the College's vision, values, and reputation.

Working closely with the Executive Principal, Campus Principals, and key internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will lead community engagement initiatives, communications, alumni relations, stakeholder partnerships, and College events that support the College's Strategic Management Plan. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and evaluate the College's Community Engagement Strategy aligned with the Strategic Management Plan.
• Lead the development and growth of the Sirius College alumni network.
• Lead the planning and delivery of community engagement initiatives, College events and alumni programs across all campuses.
• Develop and oversee community and alumni communications, marketing initiatives and promotional materials across print, digital and social media platforms.
• Coordinate Parent Home Visits (PHVs), parent education programs and initiatives that support multicultural families and student integration into the wider Australian community.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Community Engagement team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and achievement of departmental KPIs.
• Ensure community engagement activities align with the College's vision, mission and values.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources and operational risks.
• Support fundraising, volunteer and community initiatives where appropriate.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Education or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years  relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and public speaking skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Highly organised, adaptable and capable of working autonomously in a dynamic environment.
• High-level digital literacy, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and relevant communication or database systems.
• Commitment to working within a diverse, inclusive and multicultural school community.
• Current Working With Children Check or valid VIT Registration.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
