Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced SMSF Accountant to join our Adelaide-based team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, understands the complexities of SMSF legislation and compliance, and wants to build their career within a respected and growing professional services firm.

About the Role

This is a specialist, client-focused role with exposure to a broad range of SMSF matters and the opportunity to become a trusted adviser to both clients and internal stakeholders.

Working with a diverse portfolio of SMSF clients, you will provide tailored accounting, taxation and compliance services while supporting sound investment and retirement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of SMSF financial statements, tax returns and compliance documentation.
Managing a portfolio of SMSF clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
Ensuring compliance with superannuation, taxation and regulatory requirements.
Reviewing a variety of investment structures and transactions.
Providing technical SMSF advice and support to internal teams.
Contributing to a high-performing team focused on quality, service and technical excellence.

About You

You are an experienced SMSF Accountant with a strong technical foundation and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Ideally, you will bring:

3+ years' experience in SMSF Accounting.
High proficiency in BGL Simple Fund 360.
Strong experience across taxation including individuals, trusts, SMSFs and GST.
Extensive knowledge of superannuation legislation and its application to SMSFs.
A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with superannuation law.
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting.
CA, CPA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications (or currently working towards completion).
